The governor of St. Petersburg of Valentine Matvienko declares growth of investment appeal of city, including for the Greek investors. " In city now the present investment boom ", - has declared Матвиенко to journalists in Athenes.
If in 2004-2005 years growth of foreign investments made more than 40 %, on results of 2006 they have grown twice, she(it) has told.
" Also it is pleasant, that the domestic investors financing projects of real manufacture of the Russian economy invest in economy of city " also, - has added Матвиенко.
As she said, " Russia now very stably economically and финансово develops, and it is a starting point for new opportunities of economic cooperation, growth of the foreign trade turnover ". For example, the foreign trade turnover of St. Petersburg with Greece last years has grown approximately on 50 %, has added Матвиенко.
Now in St. Petersburg it is carried out about 10 large infrastructural projects with participation of the foreign capital on principles of the частно-state partnership and concessions, has informed the governor.
" Greece can offer in the Petersburg market the goods, not only easy and the food-processing industry, but also others. For business political stability in interstate attitudes(relations) is important, and it(he) will find those niches in which can show itself ", - she(it) has noted.
She(it) also has expressed hope that the intergovernmental contract about construction of an oil pipeline Burgas - Александруполиc in the near future will be signed.
" On this question we with Greece did not have contradictions, additional arrangements with Bulgaria were necessary. Now these questions are overcome, and we hope, that the agreement will be signed in the near future ", - has told the governor.
Earlier Матвиенко has met the president of Greek republic Karolosom Папульясом. The president of Greece has handed over the governor of St. Petersburg the Award of honour of Greece. Матвиенко has invited the president to visit St. Petersburg within the framework of his(its) following official visit to Russia.
